“Texas Shine is owned and operated by Nathan, a car enthusiast, ADHD hippie dad. He’s been in the car detailing industry for over 20 years starting with car washing at used car dealerships, working with large detailer shops, and now owning his own shop. He is honest and upfront about pricing and expectations. You can easily start a conversation and learn about his business through his website (linked on Google Maps). As many of you are doing right now and debating on who to trust with your car, I will say this right now: I can’t think of a better guy to have worked on my 2025 BRZ (300 mi). I paid for a front PPF, Revivify ceramic coat, and paint correction. Time to complete took 5 days, and I was able to drop off and pick up outside his normal hours. For his ceramic coats, he offers a free complimentary wash and instruction on how to maintain your coat. Before Nathan, I’d done light paint correction/polishing and two-bucket washing (YouTube taught), but seeing someone wash and take hours of their day to explain each process is next-level customer service. Quoting Nathan himself: “We’re all only human.” There are things to consider before hiring him for your next detail. He is in the mid-to-high price point and targets people who are car enthusiasts or luxury car owners. Don’t bring your daily driver expecting to get it transformed into a show car with only $1,000. Another thing to note, you are paying for his knowledge, not just for labor. Don’t hire Nathan if you expect to micromanage him like you do your accountant. Nathan is running this business primarily by himself, so keep that in mind if you need a project that is time-bound. His bay fits about 2.5 cars and is limited by that. Nathan is also opinionated and knows what is needed for your car to deliver to your expectations. If Nathan doesn’t fit in your box of what a car detailer should be, do yourself and him a favor and don’t hire him. At the end of the day, you are trusting him with your car, please show the service men and women in your life some respect and dignity. From start to finish, Nathan sent me messages and photos of the car’s progression. He answers quickly, but sometimes needs a bump if messaging after hours. He took the time to go through the products available and speaks like a true car enthusiast. He was really easy to talk to and work with, and I hope to hire him again in the future. “Nathan did a fabulous job in detailing our car to get it prepped for ppf and applying ceramic coating on it afterwards. He kept us updated throughout the process. He’s very detail oriented as other reviewers have mentioned. He restored the color of the exterior black trim - an area that we didn’t even think of or bought up. He didn’t try to oversell other services or push extras on top of what the scope of the work was. He didn’t brush us off because the car was pretty basic and not a high end or phantom level ride. He heard out our long term concerns and got to work. I’ve been to a number of shops in town that have high Google reviews and they can’t come close to Nathan’s communication skills. We are happy with the end results. It’s been over two weeks and the car still looks great.”
