Can a coating actually heal scratches?
A self-healing coating can recover from certain light scratches and wash marks within its own protective layer. It cannot replace paint removed by a rock chip, repair a scratch through the coating into the factory finish, or reverse peeling clear coat. Some ceramic products also claim self-healing, so the category label is not enough to judge performance.
